Son Heung-min tries for first season goal after League Cup elimination

Son Heung-min attempts once more to score his first goal of the season after being eliminated from the League Cup

Can English professional soccer Premier League (EPL) Tottenham’s “captain” Son Heung-min lift his team’s spirits after being knocked out of the League Cup (Carabao Cup) with their first attacking point of the season?

Tottenham will host Burnley in the fourth round of the 2023-2024 EPL Premier League next month at Turf Moor in Burnley, England, at 11 p.m. ET.

Since the start of the 2023-2024 season, Spurs are unbeaten in the league with two wins and a draw.

However, their momentum was halted by a penalty shootout loss to Fulham in the second round of the Carabao Cup on October 30. It’s particularly disappointing for Spurs, who haven’t won any trophies since the 2008 League Cup, to have one of their top-flight options gone after the first leg.

While they remain unbeaten in the league, the absence of Harry Kane, who left for Bayern Munich, has been highlighted by the fact that the youngster hasn’t quite lived up to expectations as a first-choice striker.

Son Heung-min has yet to register an attacking point this season as he has been relied upon more as an attacking focal point on the left flank. After starting in the Carabao Cup in midweek, it’s possible that Heung-min could start up front in this game.

Burnley hold a special place in Son’s heart.

Heung-min scored one of the first goals of his career against Burnley at home in the 16th round of the 2019-2020 season in December 2019.

Son picked up the ball near his own penalty area and used his incredible speed to neutralize six opponents before scoring with a right-footed shot from the edge of the penalty area. It was a ‘wonder goal’ with a distance of about 70 meters.

The goal earned Son the Pushkasi Award, which recognizes the best goal of the year.

The Burnley game will be Son’s last before he is called up to the national team for two consecutive A matches (Wales and Saudi Arabia) in September, so it will be interesting to see if he can go into the squad on a high note.

Burnley, coached by former Manchester City ‘legendary defender’ Vincent Kompany, are back in the EPL after a season in relegation last season and have lost their first two games. They have scored just one goal and conceded six.

Bayern Munich, which features international defender Kim Min-jae, hosts Mönchengladbach on Sept. 3 at 1:30 a.m. in the third round of the Bundesliga.

The Bavarians will be looking to make it three wins in a row after opening with a Kane effect, with three goals in two games. Mönchengladbach has one draw and one loss.

Lee Jae-sung’s Mainz travel to Werder Bremen on Sept. 2 at 10:30 p.m., while Stuttgart’s Jung Woo-young prepares for a home match against his hometown team Freiburg.

Paris Saint-Germain’s (PSG) Lee Kang-in is expected to miss another week with a thigh injury, and it will be interesting to see if EPL Wolverhampton’s Hwang Hee-chan and Denmark’s Cho Kyu-sung of Midtjylland, who are also injured but named to the squad, will play for their clubs.

Wolverhampton will face Crystal Palace away on Sept. 3 at 10 p.m., while Midtjylland will host Aarhus at 3 a.m. on Sept. 4.

Celtic, the Scottish team of Oh Hyun-gyu, Yang Hyun-joon, and Kwon Hyuk-kyu, will host their biggest rivals, Rangers, in their first match of the season on September 3 at 8pm.

Celtic and Rangers are the “two halves” of Scottish professional soccer, and at the start of the new season, Celtic leads the table with three games unbeaten 카지노사이트넷 (two wins, one draw), while Rangers is fourth (two wins, one draw).
