‘First in-country’ 2024 International Volleyball Federation Coaches’ Course Level 1 a huge success

The Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) 2024 Coaches Course Level 1 has come to an end.

The 2024 FIVB Coaches Course Level 1 was held from July 27 to 31 at Nam Seoul National University and Hyundai Capital Castle of Skywalkers in Cheonan. A total of 58 Korean volleyball coaches and players participated in the course, which ended with great success.

The FIVB Coach Course Level 1 consisted of basic theoretical and practical classes on volleyball coaching, as well as written and practical exams. All 58 participants passed the written and 메이저 토토사이트 practical exams and received the FIVB Coach Level 1 certification.

The course was taught by FIVB-appointed instructors Paolo Montagnani and Martin Nemec. Paolo Montagnani has been the head coach of the Morocco Men’s National Team since 2023 and has coached club teams in Italy, Japan, and Poland.

Martin Nemec, who is familiar to Korean volleyball fans from his time with Korean Air and KB Insurance, was the head coach of several Slovakian league teams from 2022 to 2024, and also served as the head coach of the Woori Card and IBK Corporate Bank volleyball teams from 2018 to 2022.

For existing coaches, the coaching course was an opportunity to confirm the effectiveness of their coaching methods and training programs, and to discuss new training methods and advantages of FIVB instructors and how they can be applied on the field.

For participants who are currently playing but aspire to become coaches in the future, it was an opportunity to receive guidelines on how to coach players as a coach, as well as inspiration and motivation for their coaching career.

In particular, the participants resonated with the instructors’ message that they should always pay attention to international volleyball trends and constantly educate themselves, as international volleyball trends are constantly changing. The coaching course was also a meaningful time to share various opinions among the participants.

“By holding the FIVB Coach Education Course for the first time in Korea, we provided a valuable opportunity for domestic coaches to receive FIVB-certified education. We will continue to focus on disseminating the FIVB’s education system in Korea by holding FIVB Coach Courses in the future, with the goal of fostering quality coaches, improving domestic players’ skills, and strengthening the international competitiveness of the national team,” said the Korea Volleyball Association.

We plan to create a synergistic effect for the development of domestic coaches and capacity building in parallel with the annual ‘Technical Coaching Workshop’ organized by the Association.”
