Shambala Casino has about 550 guests daily for the first 2.5 months

The Shambala casino resort in Russia’s Primorsky Krai saw an average of 550 guests per day in the first 2.5 months of operation, with a peak of 700 on Friday, according to a recently released business update.

The business update covered the period from the launch of the property on October 16, 2020 to the end of that year.

During the period, a typical customer’s profile said men between the ages of 25 and 35 from the Primorsky region spent an average of 8,439 rubs ($117) on games and 1,539 rubs (1,539 rubs) on restaurant services.

Shambala, pictured, is part of the Maritime Integrated Entertainment Zone (IEZ), a casino development zone located 50 kilometers (31 miles) from Russia’s Pacific port city of Vladivostok. According to the IEZ website, Shambala’s architect, CJSC, has pledged to invest 8 billion rubles (about $110 million) in the project. According to information provided by the architect, the design and construction of the facility began in November 2018.

The Maritime Province IEZ has a Tigre de Cristal casino resort managed by Hong Kong-listed Summit Ascent Holdings, which opened in October 2015.

Other casino resorts, including those of Hong Kong-listed Cambodian casino business Naga Corp Ltd, are also part of IEZ’s development plans.

According to Shambala’s business update, there were slightly more male guests in casinos than female guests in the first 2.5 months of the resort’s operation. 58% of customers were male versus 42% female. Still, 62% of all visitors between the ages of 21 and 36 were women from Primorsky Krai.

According to the property’s summary, 64% of guests preferred to play on the game console, 32% preferred roulette and 11% preferred poker.

“As long as the borders are closed, baccarat remains an entertainment for the few,” he added, referring to restrictions on inbound travel to Russia amid the COVID-19 pandemic and the fact that baccarat is a table game of choice among many East Asian players.

“Only 78 guests showed interest in playing bakkara in their accommodation,” Shambala said during the reporting period. 바카라사이트 추천

The average player spend by game category was RUB4,520 for roulette, RUB5,780 for poker, and RUB2,750 for game consoles.

Given the inbound travel restrictions, most guests during the business review period came from the Russian Federation and most (67% in total) came from nearby Vladivostok.

“Despite the international isolation, foreign guests still attended casinos,” Shambala said.

The tally was 3,780 guests from 24 countries and regions. Of these, 864 came from Asian countries and regions, while 2,849 came from what Shambala calls “neighboring countries.”
