Winbet to launch next in New York

According to recent reports, the state of New York will soon operate its seventh online sports betting operator. This week, Wynn Interactive said mobile sportsbook app Wynn BET has received regulatory green light to launch in Empire State’s newly regulated online sports betting market and join six other active operators.

Last November, the New York State Gaming Commission approved a total of nine gaming brands to operate on the state’s mobile sports betting system. So far, six of the operators have launched products to give New Yorkers comfortable time in their homes. Other companies that haven’t launched yet besides Win Interactive are Bali Bet and Empire Resort.

Point Bet was not included in this statistic because the sportsbook was released later than its opponent. After receiving regulatory approval from the New York State Gaming Commission, the company officially began accepting online bets on January 25, 2022. Point Bet USA CEO Johnny Aitken noted that being one of the nine operators is a major milestone for the company.

Ballibet, one of its operators, announced that it will postpone its launch in Empire State until April of this year. Chairman Kim Soo has made it clear that he is well aware that the huge amount of betting surrounding the Super Bowl will be omitted. However, Sportsbook said it does not plan to waste money to compete with other operators’ promotions and focuses on long-term goals.
