Man Utd to loan Anthony in January

On the 16th (Korea time), the British ‘Daily Mail’ reported that “Manchester United is pushing for a loan through the January transfer market in order to complete the outright transfer of winger Anthony.”

Anthony, who joined United on August 30, 2022, from AFC Ajax for a record transfer fee of £85 million (KRW 149.4 billion), made his debut in the sixth round of the 2022-2023 Premier League season against Arsenal. In the 35th minute of the match, Anthony scored his debut goal and made a name for himself in front of the fans.

After a hot debut, Anthony went on to make 25 league appearances in the 2022-2023 season, scoring just four goals, which was not enough to justify his transfer fee.

His unnecessary individualism and ineffective play often didn’t help the flow of the offense, and his lack of progression in the 2023-2024 season led to growing frustration among United fans.

Anthony’s first league goal last season didn’t come until April 27th.

It came just four games before the end of the season. Anthony rattled the net from a counterattack in the 34th minute against Burnley in the 35th round.

When asked about his transfer fee, Anthony said: “Money is money. It’s true, that’s why everyone talks about my transfer fee. 파워볼사이트 If my team and my performances were good, no one would be talking about it,” he said. ”To overcome this, I have to play better. I’m confident,” he said.

In the previous summer transfer window, it was revealed that Bettis wanted to sign Anthony and Christian Eriksen. “Betis made offers for Anthony and Eriksen on loan before the transfer window closed, but were rejected by United,” the Daily Mail reported at the time.

United didn’t want to sell Anthony at the time, but with his lack of progress this season, they may have changed their minds. The Daily Mail reported on April 16 that “United are preparing to part ways with Anthony.

“Club sources would not comment on Anthony’s future, but a reliable source says United will listen to offers in the region of £40 million,” the publication reported. That’s about half of what he cost when he joined the club.

“United sold three wingers in the summer – Jadon Sancho, Mason Greenwood and Omari Pawson – but Anthony remains at the club. If Anthony leaves on loan in the January transfer window and gets more game time, he could attract more interest from clubs in the summer of 2025.”
