“It’s been really good, but…”
Could West Ham boss David Moyes be reunited with free agent Jesse Lingard – well, things aren’t looking so good this time around.
Moyes and former Manchester United youth star Lingard have become inseparable. After ‘falling out of favor’ at United, Lindegaard went on a short-term loan to West Ham in the second half of the 2020-2021 season and enjoyed a successful resurgence, scoring nine goals and providing five assists in 16 games.
Moyes wanted to stick with Lingard, but as he gained confidence, he went back into the Man Utd tiger’s den. His move to United failed again. Ahead of last season, Moyes was keen to re-sign Lingard, who was a free agent, but what do you know? Instead of West Ham, Lingard chose Nottingham.
Lindegaard struggled at Nottingham, too. He suffered the humiliation of being released again after just one season. It was Moyes who kept him. Moyes allowed the out-of-favor player to train with him at West Ham. Of course, he made it clear that this was not a signing.
In the meantime, Hwang Hee-Chan’s club Wolverhampton are keeping an eye on Lingard. Moyes would love to get a second look at Lingard, who is a great fit for him, before Wolverhampton take him away.
Moyes told local outlet TalkSPORT: “He’s been training with us for three weeks. “He’s been with us for three 메이저토토사이트 weeks and he’s a lot better than when he first came,” Moyes said, “He’s in really good shape. I wanted to give him every opportunity to get back in shape and see how he trains, but all I can say is that he’s back and he’s much closer to the healthy level that you want him to be. There is no real update on Lingard,” he cut off.
In fact, a return to West Ham might be the best case scenario for Lingard. Which team will he wear?
