Choi Hong-seok, a former national volleyball striker, died… He was 35 years old

Choi joined Dream Six as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2011-2012 season rookie draft. Choi has been active since the beginning of his debut and has grown into a striker for the national team. Since then, Choi has played for Woori Card, KEPCO, and OK Financial Group.

After the 2021-22 season, he announced his retirement and served as a commentator for SBS Sports Volleyball from 2022.

Choi Hong-seok, who retired from active duty after the end of the 2021-22 season, transformed into a commentator for SBS Sports Volleyball in December 2022. He received good reviews for his professional and realistic commentary. However, since he quit commentary in December last year, he has had no external activities.

OK Financial Group announced the obituary by posting a message on its official SNS, “Choi Hong-seok, a former male volleyball player of OK Financial Group, left our side. I pray for the rest of the deceased.”
