Tottenham defender exchanging words with the GOAT

A center back recognized by the greatest player of all time. Lionel Messi’s (36) praise has moved Cristian Romero (25).

In a post-match interview with Ecuador on Aug. 8, Messi praised Romero, who played the entire game at center back. “For me, he’s the best defender in the world right now. He played an incredible game.”
